Loving the Ryder Cup Captain

I may be biased, having a Danish family background, but Made In Denmark has probably the best galleries on the European Tour.

This ovation for Danish Ryder Cup Captain Thomas Bjorn as he walked up Himmerland Hill went on for over five minutes. The rythmic clapping is what audiences in Scandinavia do, and most of the spectators wore masks with his face on. He’s a massive Liverpool FC supporter and they sang You’ll Never Walk Alone to him. What a tribute, He certainly won’t be alone at the Ryder Cup in Paris next year.

The European fans witty, original and meaningful singing will buoy up their players far more than the endless grunting of You Es A You Es A, the Americans need new songs.
