Tiger Woods and Steve Stricker are to join Davis Love III as vice captains helping to lead the American side in the Ryder Cup matches in Paris.

Captain Jim Furyk said “to win in Paris will be a great challenge (it is 25 years since they won away from home). To have Steve and Tiger share the journey is important for me and for American golf. Their knowledge and experience will be an invaluable resource in our effort to retain the Ryder Cup.

Woods, who was Vice Captain in 2016 and a player in 6 matches said “the Ryder Cup is very specual to me. I want to thank Jim for his confidence, friendship and support. My goal is to make the team and I am excited by the challenge”.
