Not long ago I switched from playing a Titelist Pro V1 ball to a Snell black ball and I’ve been very impressed with the feel and performance, as well as the price. £29.99 a dozen rather than £42.99 for the Titelists. I don’t think it makes a lot of difference off the tee but in the short game I want good feel and spin control. Golf ball developer Dean Snell gives some very interesting insights in this film.

During this cold weather the important thing is to keep the balls warm for better performance, colder balls don’t compress as much and a lot of distance can be lost.
