It seems a while since Brooks Koepka was complaining about the lack of press attention. He said “I dont get asked to do many interviews so I’m not going to go out of my way to give one. I dont really care. I’m not gonna kiss anyone’s butt I’m here to play golf”.

Well he’s got everyone’s attention now with a 7 shot lead going into the final round PGA Championship, If he wins it will be his fourth major and only Mickelson and Tiger, with 5 and 15 majors, of the leading players on the PGA Tour have won more than Brooks, who says he expects to get into double digits in major wins.

His stats since the summer of 2017 are extraordinary, leading in every category. 1st in score to par -58, 1st in strokes gained in putting per round 3.17, 1st in scoring average 69.3, first in birdies and eagles 163, 1st in rounds led 13, 1st in rounds of 67 or lower.

It’s in the major championships that he has been most dominant

2017 US Open – WIN, 2017 Open – 6th, 2017 PGA 13th, 2018 Masters (injured did not play), 2018 US Open WIN, 2018 Open 39th, 2018 PGA WIN, 2019 Masters 2nd, and now this.

After the third round he was slightly critical of his performance on the greens, saying he didnt quite get the speed right and needed to hit firmer, though he was stroking the ball good. He felt great all day, his iron play was solid. That the jist of what he said.

But on social media he was a hero to the man on the left of the picture with him. Brooks walked into his barbers and asked for a haircut. and Brooks left him a $800 tip.
