Congratulations to J J Spaun who has won the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth Club on his first attempt. JJ birdied 4 out of the final 5 holes in his last round to finish at -17 beating Manuel Elvira, Rory McIlroy, Aaron Rai and Adam Scott who were all tied on -15.
His ‘W’ as he called it is the perfect answer to American captain Brandt Schnedeker leaving JJ out of next week’s Presidents Cup side. Once again in team matches a place was given to Justin Thomas controversially. JJ Spaun is 10th in the Presidents Cup standings, the 2025 US Open Champion and a current Ryder Cup player.
